French daily raves about Warsaw museum. "A wonderful tool for sharing art"

"You praise others, but you don't know your own"? The old saying is still relevant and perfectly reflects the reactions of Poles to the new building of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. And yet the French press does not hide its delight. The prestigious "Le Monde" called the MSN a symbol of openness, a space for debate and a dream fulfilled after two decades of waiting.
The new building of the Museum of Modern Art has aroused very mixed feelings among our compatriots from the very beginning. Some are delighted with Thomas Phifer's design, others turn up their noses and call the building itself a shoebox or... a white block .
And yet the French daily "Le Monde" wrote very kind words about MSN .
In an article entitled "A Varsovie, the Museum of Modern Art with its Art Contemporain in Partage" by Emmanuelle Lequeux , attention is drawn to the museum's rich collection of around 4,000 works. More than half of them were created by female artists.

Lequeux describes the opening of the museum as an event of great symbolic importance for Poland , especially in the context of the ongoing presidential campaign. The article also quotes the museum's director, Joanna Mytkowska .
- In these times of confusion, we want to remind everyone that contemporary art is a tool for understanding the world, and this museum is a place open to other people and debate - we read.
The journalist also emphasizes that the opening exhibition, entitled "Non-permanent Exhibition" , presents 150 works, most of which come from abroad. The exhibition focuses on socially engaged art and combines with finesse the works of artists from Poland and other countries.
"Le Monde": MSN is the dream of the entire communityLe Monde notes that the museum was the result of two decades of effort, and that its opening in February attracted around 20,000 visitors in its first weekend . It also stressed that the museum was a "dream of the entire community" that had been realized despite numerous political and administrative obstacles.
And as Property Design reports, although the daily draws attention to the building's austere appearance and its lack of charm, it emphasizes that "once you enter it, it turns out to be a wonderful tool for sharing art."
"Le Monde" recognises the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw as an important point on the cultural map of Europe , appreciating its commitment to promoting diversity and dialogue through contemporary art.
